A Kenite in Judges whose household is connected with Jael and the flight of Sisera.
Heber in the Bible is a Kenite first named in Judges as having separated from the Kenites and pitched his tent near the oak in Zaanannim near Kedesh. He is described as from the sons of Hobab Judges 4:11. Heber is named in at least four verses across Judges. Jael is identified as his wife, and the text says there was peace between Jabin king of Hazor and Heber’s house when Sisera fled to her tent Judges 4:17. Jael then killed Sisera with a tent peg Judges 4:21; Judges calls her blessed as Heber’s wife Judges 5:24.
