Bani

Bani is the Ezra person first named at Ezra 2:10, where the sons of Bani are numbered at six hundred forty-two. The name is recorded in at least four verses, all in Ezra. Later passages list people described as being from the sons of Bani: Meshullam, Malluch, Adaiah, Jashub, Sheal, Jerimoth, and Ramoth are named in Ezra 10:29; Maadai, Amram, and Uel in Ezra 10:34. Ezra 10:38 also names Bani alongside Binnui and Shimei.
