The clearest attested use places the plural form among bulls, rams, and lambs supplied or acquired for offerings in Ezra 6:9, Ezra 6:17, and Ezra 7:17. Its contribution in the Daniel occurrences is less recoverable from the unaligned translation, though the same plural absolute form occurs there.

   The plural absolute form occurs in Ezra 6:9 among animals needed for burnt offerings; the APB renders the list with “young bulls, rams, and lambs.” In Ezra 6:17 the APB renders animals brought for the dedication as “one hundred bulls,” and in Ezra 7:17 it renders animals to be purchased and offered as “bulls, rams, and lambs.”

In the Anselm Project Bible: In the Ezra verses, the APB presents the animal lists with “young bulls” or “bulls.” In Daniel 5:21 it includes “oxen,” while the contribution of the form is not separately visible in the APB wording of Daniel 4:22, Daniel 4:29, and Daniel 4:30.
