In Ezekiel 23:3 and Ezekiel 23:8, the Piel perfect forms occur in clauses describing people pressing “the breasts of their virginity”; in Ezekiel 23:21, the Qal infinitive construct occurs when the remembered conduct is described. The APB renders these clauses with “pressed your breasts,” “pressed the breasts of their virginity,” and “fondling your youthful bosom.”
In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the clauses as pressing breasts in Ezekiel 23:3 and Ezekiel 23:8, and as “fondling your youthful bosom” in Ezekiel 23:21. This variation should not be treated as separate lexical uses.
