As a preposition, im links an entity with another person, thing, or circumstance: dwelling is described in relation to flesh or to him, prophets are alongside builders, and travelers or offerings are joined with others.

In Daniel 2:11 the APB renders the clause about the gods' dwelling as "not with flesh," while Daniel 2:22 says that light "dwells with him"; Ezra 5:2 places the prophets "with them," and Ezra 7:13 describes those going to Jerusalem "with you." Daniel 7:13 also presents the coming figure "with the clouds of the heavens," showing the same linking function in a different clause.
