   In Judges 11:5 the elders of Gilead go to bring this figure from Tob, and in Judges 11:11 the APB renders that the people make him "head and leader over them." The same proper noun identifies the speaker who sends messengers to Ammon in Judges 11:12 and the man who judged Israel and died in Judges 12:7; 1 Samuel 12:11 includes him among those sent to deliver Israel.

   In Joshua 15:43 the proper noun stands with Ashnah and Nezib in the APB's list of places, showing a place-name use rather than the Gileadite individual.
