The attested use describes a female subject as adorned with gold, whether the woman in Revelation 17:4 or the great city in Revelation 18:16.

   In Revelation 17:4, the perfect passive feminine singular participle describes the woman within a list of her clothing and adornments; the APB renders her as “gilded with gold and precious stone and pearls.” The same form describes the great city in Revelation 18:16, where the APB likewise renders it “gilded with gold and precious stone and pearl.”

In the Anselm Project Bible: Across Revelation 17:4 and Revelation 18:16, the APB presents the participle with “gilded with gold,” followed by precious materials. The surrounding list should not be assigned to the term itself.
