In 1 Corinthians 15:47, the nominative singular form describes the first man in the clause the APB renders “from the earth, made of dust.” In 1 Corinthians 15:48, the singular and plural forms extend the same comparison from “the man of dust” to “those who are of dust,” and 1 Corinthians 15:49 uses the genitive singular form in “the image of the man of dust.”
In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the passage with “made of dust,” “the man of dust,” and “those who are of dust.” These phrases indicate the verse-level presentation rather than fixed individual renderings.
