In 1 Timothy 1:16 the APB renders Christ Jesus displaying complete patience in the speaker “as an example” for later believers; in 2 Timothy 1:13 it renders an instruction to hold “the pattern of sound words.”

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the clause with “as an example” in 1 Timothy 1:16 and “the pattern of sound words” in 2 Timothy 1:13. These are verse-level renderings rather than definitions.
