   Both occurrences use the dative plural form ὕμνοις alongside psalms and spiritual songs. In Colossians 3:16 the APB renders a setting of teaching and admonishing one another, “with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,” followed by singing with thankfulness to God; in Ephesians 5:19 it renders mutual address in the same threefold song setting and singing to the Lord.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB explicitly includes “hymns” in both verses within the phrase “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.” The term's individual English correspondence is supported by the shared clause but not mechanically marked.
