   In 2 Corinthians 8:17, the nominative singular masculine comparative form describes the man who, after receiving encouragement, goes out to those addressed as "more eager and already self-chosen." In 2 Corinthians 8:22, the accusative singular masculine forms occur in the description of a brother tested in many matters and now presented as "much more eager" toward them with great confidence.
