   In John 19:2, Mark 15:17, and Matthew 27:29, the same aorist active nominative masculine plural participial form occurs in the clause about a crown of thorns. In John 19:2 the APB renders the action “wove a crown of thorns”; the other verses likewise present the crown as already made before it is put on him.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the action as “wove” in John 19:2 and Matthew 27:29, and as a crown “that they had woven” in Mark 15:17. These are translation renderings of the whole clauses rather than definitions.
