In Mark 10:26 the APB renders the disciples as “astonished excessively”; in Mark 15:14 and Matthew 27:23 it renders the crowd’s response as crying out “all the more” or “the more”; and in Acts 26:11 it places the persecution alongside being “furiously enraged” and pursuing people even to foreign cities.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the heightened degree with “excessively” in Mark 10:26 and with “all the more” or “the more” in the crucifixion cries of Mark 15:14 and Matthew 27:23. In Acts 26:11, its contribution is less isolable because the translation renders the clause as “furiously enraged.”
