In Matthew 1:20, Matthew 2:13, and Matthew 2:19, the APB renders an angel appearing "in a dream" and giving Joseph instruction; Matthew 27:19 renders a wife reporting that she "suffered much today in a dream."

In the Anselm Project Bible: Across the occurrences, the APB consistently presents the term with "in a dream." The verse is read as a whole, but this rendering fits both angelic appearances and warnings, as well as the distress reported in Matthew 27:19.
