The attested use describes departure following the completion of parables or spoken words: in Matthew 13:53 and Matthew 19:1, the same aorist active indicative form marks movement away after Jesus finishes speaking.

   In Matthew 13:53, μετῆρεν follows the completion of the parables; the APB renders the clause "that he departed from there." In Matthew 19:1, the same form follows the completion of Jesus' words, and the APB renders his departure from Galilee and arrival in Judea beyond the Jordan.
