   In John 6:31 and John 6:49, the accusative singular form occurs in clauses where the fathers ate it in the deserted place; the APB renders the clauses “ate the manna.” In Hebrews 9:4, the same form is in a golden jar within the ark, which the APB renders as “a golden jar holding the manna.”

   In Revelation 2:17, the genitive singular form follows the promise “I will give of the hidden manna”; the APB presents it as something given to the one who conquers.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB uses “manna” in all four verses: as food eaten in John 6:31 and John 6:49, held in a jar in Hebrews 9:4, and “hidden manna” in Revelation 2:17. These are verse-level renderings rather than definitions.
