The nominative singular form identifies Joseph in Acts 4:36 and a traveler in Luke 10:32; in Acts 4:36 the APB renders Joseph as “a Levite of Cyprus by family,” while in Luke 10:32 it says that a Levite came to the place, saw the man, and passed by. The accusative plural in John 1:19 names Levites sent with priests from Jerusalem to question John.
In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB explicitly uses “Levite” for the singular individuals in Acts 4:36 and Luke 10:32 and “Levites” for the group in John 1:19. These renderings confirm the verse-level presentation rather than every detail of the Greek term.
