Euphrosune denotes gladness or joy shown as a filling of the heart and in the divine presence.

The two attested uses present gladness as something that fills: hearts amid food and fruitful seasons, and a person in the presence of God.

1. Gladness that fills hearts or a person · dominant

   Both occurrences use the genitive singular feminine form in clauses of filling. In Acts 14:17 the APB renders hearts as satisfied “with food and gladness” amid rains and fruitful seasons; in Acts 2:28 it renders the speaker as filled “with gladness with your presence.”
