   In Matthew 1:9, the accusative singular form occurs in the clause where Ahaz begot the named person; the APB renders the sequence, “Ahaz then begot Hezekiah.” In Matthew 1:10, the nominative singular form stands in the next succession clause, where the named person begot Manasseh; the APB renders, “Hezekiah then begot Manasseh.”

In the Anselm Project Bible: Across Matthew 1:9 and Matthew 1:10, the APB presents the name as “Hezekiah” in successive father-to-son clauses. The verse is read as a whole, but both verses place the named person in that sequence.
