Didumos is used as the designation attached to Thomas in the Gospel of John.

In all three attested verses, Δίδυμος appears as a nominative singular masculine designation attached to Thomas, whether he speaks with the disciples, is absent when Jesus comes, or is listed among disciples together.

1. Thomas's attached designation · dominant

   The nominative singular masculine form is attached to Thomas in each occurrence. In John 11:16 the APB renders Thomas speaking to his fellow disciples; in John 20:24 it identifies him among the twelve who was absent when Jesus came; and in John 21:2 it includes him in the group gathered together.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the form as “the Didymus” in John 11:16 and John 21:2, and as “Didymus” in John 20:24. These renderings confirm its attachment to Thomas without isolating a further lexical nuance.
