Assos is the place named as the destination where Paul is taken aboard after traveling by land.

   Both occurrences use the accusative singular form in movement and meeting clauses. In Acts 20:13 the APB renders the group as being brought “to Assos” to take Paul aboard; in Acts 20:14 it renders Paul meeting the group “at Assos” before they travel onward to Mitylene.
