Asitia denotes the condition of fasting already present before Paul addressed the men at sea.

Its sole attested use describes fasting as an already-present condition before Paul’s warning to the men in Acts 27:21.

   In Acts 27:21, the genitive singular feminine form occurs in the opening setting of Paul’s address after the men had sailed from Crete. The APB renders the clause, “When much fasting was already present,” before reporting Paul’s warning about mistreatment and loss.

In the Anselm Project Bible: In Acts 27:21, the APB presents the clause as “When much fasting was already present.” It does not isolate the lemma beyond that clause-level presentation.
