Aineas is the personal name of the man found bedridden and addressed by Peter in Acts 9.

The term identifies the same man: he is found lying paralyzed in Acts 9:33 and is directly addressed in Acts 9:34.

   In Acts 9:33, the accusative singular form occurs in the clause identifying a certain man who had been lying on a bed; the APB renders the verse, "He found there a certain man named Aeneas." In Acts 9:34, the vocative singular form directly addresses that man before the command to arise; the APB renders, "Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; arise and make your bed.""

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the term as "Aeneas" when identifying the man in Acts 9:33 and when Peter addresses him in Acts 9:34. These renderings are treated as presentation of the name within each verse.
