   In 1 Timothy 4:12, the dative singular form appears in a list of qualities in which a young believer is to be an example; the APB renders the list as including “purity.” In 1 Timothy 5:2, the same form qualifies the treatment of younger women as sisters, and the APB renders the clause “in all purity.”
