Preaching and Proclamation

The Bible says preaching and proclamation include preaching the word with reproof, rebuke, exhortation, patience, and teaching (2 Timothy 4:2). One passage states, “I was appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher” (2 Timothy 1:11). Another says that God revealed his word in a proclamation entrusted by his command (Titus 1:3). Together, these verses use the language of preaching, teaching, and entrusted proclamation without supplying a fuller definition of the theme.
