The City of David

The Bible says David resided in the stronghold and named it the city of David. 2 Samuel 5:9

A separate passage calls the stronghold of Zion that David captured “the city of David.” 2 Samuel 5:7 The ark of God was brought from Obed-edom’s house to the city with rejoicing, and Michal saw David leaping and dancing as the ark entered. 2 Samuel 6:12 2 Samuel 6:16

In 1 Chronicles, David established a place and tent for the ark in the city of David. 1 Chronicles 15:1 The word or idea recurs in at least 9 verses across 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles.
