Cana is a city in Galilee associated in John with a wedding, Jesus' first sign, and Nathanael.
In the Bible, Cana is a city in Galilee named in at least four verses of John's Gospel. A wedding took place there, with the mother of Jesus present (John 2:1). John says that Jesus performed the first of his signs in Cana, revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him (John 2:11).
When Jesus came again to Cana, the text recalls that he had made water wine there; it also mentions a royal official whose son was sick at Capernaum (John 4:46). Nathanael is identified as being from Cana of Galilee (John 21:2).
