Silvanus

Silvanus is a missionary and gospel preacher who is named with Paul and Timothy in the preaching of Jesus Christ and in greetings to the Thessalonian assembly. 2 Corinthians 1:19 says that Jesus Christ was preached through Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy. The opening words of both Thessalonian letters name the same three men together as senders (1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2 Thessalonians 1:1).

Peter says he has written “by Silvanus” and calls him “the faithful brother, as I reckon” (1 Peter 5:12). Silvanus is named in at least 4 verses across 4 books.
