Seir in the Bible is the Genesis person identified as a Horite and named as the father of Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. Genesis 36:20 lists these sons and says they dwelt in the land; Genesis 36:21 calls them chiefs of the Horite and locates them in the land of Edom.
