Rufus

Rufus in the Bible is the chosen believer greeted in Romans 16:13. He is first and only named in the supplied biblical references at that verse, in Romans. The passage calls him “chosen in the Lord” and includes greetings to his mother, whom the speaker also calls “mine.” Romans 16:13 therefore identifies Rufus in connection with his mother and records the greeting addressed to them both.
