Mahseiah is named as the father of Neriah in two verses of Jeremiah.
Mahseiah in the Bible is the Jeremiah person identified as the father of Neriah, first named in Jeremiah 32:12. His name occurs in at least two verses in Jeremiah. In the purchase-deed account, the text calls Baruch “son of Neriah son of Mahseiah” and says the deed was given to Baruch. Jeremiah 51:59 likewise identifies Seraiah as “son of Neriah son of Mahseiah” when it records Jeremiah’s command to Seraiah.
