also: Joiakim
Joiakim is named as Jeshua’s son and Eliashib’s father in Nehemiah.
Joiakim son of Jeshua is the man Nehemiah names as Jeshua’s son and Eliashib’s father. Nehemiah 12:10 places him in that line, while Nehemiah 12:12 refers to “the days of Joiakim” when priests were heads of the fathers, including Meraiah for Seraiah and Hananiah for Jeremiah.
He is named in at least 3 verses, all in Nehemiah. Nehemiah 12:26 again identifies him as the son of Jeshua son of Jozadak and places the service described there in Joiakim’s days, alongside Nehemiah the governor and Ezra the priest and scribe.
