Hanani is a seer who rebuked Asa and is named as the father of Jehu.
Hanani in the Bible is a seer who came to Asa, king of Judah, and rebuked him for relying on the king of Aram rather than on the LORD his God (2 Chronicles 16:7). He is also identified as the father of Jehu, who is called “son of Hanani” (1 Kings 16:1; 2 Chronicles 19:2). Jehu’s records are said to contain the acts of Jehoshaphat (2 Chronicles 20:34).
