A Revelation personification named as following Death and later associated with the dead and judgment.
Hades, Follower of Death, is the Revelation personification named as following Death on a pale green horse (Revelation 6:8). Hades is named in at least 3 verses across Revelation. In the vision, Death and Hades receive authority over a fourth of the earth, with killing described by sword, famine, death, and wild beasts (Revelation 6:8). Later, death and Hades give up the dead in them, and each person is judged according to their deeds (Revelation 20:13). Death and Hades are then thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14).
