Death, Rider of the Pale Horse, is Revelation’s named apocalyptic personification, first named as the rider of a pale green horse in Revelation 6:8. Hades follows him, and authority is given to them over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, death, and wild beasts.

In Revelation 20:13, death and Hades give up the dead in them for judgment. The following verse says that death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire, called the second death (Revelation 20:14). This identity is documented in at least 6 verses across Revelation.
