Besodeiah is named in connection with Meshullam in Nehemiah’s account of the gate of Yeshanah.
Besodeiah in the Bible is named in Nehemiah as the person identified in the phrase “Meshullam son of Besodeiah.” Nehemiah 3:6 names him in connection with Meshullam and Joiada son of Paseah, who strengthened the gate of Yeshanah. The passage says that they laid its beams and set up its doors, bolts, and bars. Besodeiah is named in at least one verse, all in Nehemiah.
