Amram son of Kohath is named in 1 Chronicles 6:2: “The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel” (1 Chronicles 6:2). The same wording is given in 1 Chronicles 6:18, while 1 Chronicles 23:12 lists the four names again.
1 Chronicles 6:3 reads, “The sons of Amram were Aaron, Moses, and Miriam” (1 Chronicles 6:3). In 1 Chronicles 23:13, the text names Aaron and Moses as Amram’s sons and then describes Aaron’s being set apart for service before the LORD (1 Chronicles 23:13).
