Adoniram, son of Abda, is named as overseer of the taskworker in 1 Kings.
Adoniram is the labor overseer named in 1 Kings as son of Abda and as being over the taskworker (1 Kings 4:6). In the account of labor sent to Lebanon, he is again identified as over the taskworker; the passage describes workers serving in monthly shifts, with time at home between assignments (1 Kings 5:14). Scripture names Adoniram in at least two verses, both within 1 Kings.
