In Nehemiah 2:13 the APB renders the clause "I was inspecting the walls of Jerusalem that were broken through," and in Nehemiah 2:15 it renders "and inspected the wall."

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the activity as "inspecting" in both verses, once while describing Jerusalem’s breached walls and once during the return along the wall. This confirms the scene’s overall examination rather than a precise English equivalent for each token.
