ne.ti.phah denotes an item of adornment listed among other worn ornaments in Scripture.

The two attested uses place the plural noun among collections of ornaments: in Isaiah 3:19 it stands with bracelets and veils, and in Judges 8:26 with crescents, purple garments, and camel neck ornaments.

   Both occurrences use the noun in the feminine plural absolute. In Isaiah 3:19 the APB renders a sequence of adornments, “The pendants and the bracelets and the veils”; in Judges 8:26 it renders the item within a list of valuables and ornaments associated with the kings of Midian and their camels.
