   In 1 Samuel 2:13, the masculine singular absolute form is held by the priest's youth while sacrificial flesh boils; the APB renders the clause with a "three-toothed fork in his hand." In 1 Samuel 2:14, the same form is struck into a basin, pot, or caldron, and the APB says that whatever "the fork brought up" was taken for the priest.
