In Genesis 1:11, the Hiphil jussive feminine singular form occurs in God’s command concerning the earth; the APB renders the clause, “Let the earth sprout vegetation.” In Joel 2:22, the Qal perfect third common plural form occurs in the assurance that “the pastures of the wilderness have become green.”
In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the Genesis clause with “sprout vegetation” and the Joel clause with “have become green.” These phrases show the verses’ presentation rather than fixed English equivalents.
