   The determined singular form identifies the object that grows strong and whose height and sight extend widely: in Daniel 4:11 the APB renders, "The tree grew and became strong," and in Daniel 4:20 it renders the object as the one the king saw. In Daniel 4:23, the same determined singular object is commanded to be cut down, with its root-stump left in the earth.
