Toigaroun is a conjunction that draws a stated conclusion into the action or claim that follows.

As a conjunction, it introduces a conclusion: in one verse the conclusion concerns rejecting God rather than a human being, and in the other it leads from surrounding witnesses to an exhortation to persevere.

   The form is tagged as a conjunction in both occurrences. In 1 Thessalonians 4:8 the APB renders “Therefore” before the statement that the one who rejects rejects God rather than a human being; in Hebrews 12:1 it renders “Therefore” before the exhortation to lay aside impediments and run with perseverance.
