sunanabaino describes people coming up together with someone, in journeys from Galilee to Jerusalem.

The two occurrences show people coming up together with another person on the Galilee-to-Jerusalem journey: women and others in Mark 15:41, and later witnesses in Acts 13:31.

1. Coming up together on a journey · dominant

   Both aorist active participles identify groups who had come up with him: the nominative plural feminine form in Mark 15:41 concerns women and others, while the dative plural masculine form in Acts 13:31 concerns those later described as witnesses. In Mark 15:41 the APB renders the journey as those who “had come up with him to Jerusalem”; in Acts 13:31 it renders those who “had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem.”

In the Anselm Project Bible: Across both verses, the APB presents the participle with “had come up with him,” adding the journey's locations in the surrounding clause. Its full phrasing should not be treated as a precise lexical rendering.
