   In Matthew 16:2 and Matthew 16:3, the same present active indicative singular form occurs in sayings about the sky. In Matthew 16:2 the APB renders the clause "for the sky is red" in an evening forecast; in Matthew 16:3 it again renders "for the sky is red and gloomy" in a morning forecast.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the form as "the sky is red" in both verses, adding "and gloomy" to the morning clause in Matthew 16:3. That added description should not be assigned to the term itself.
