   In Hebrews 9:4, the perfect passive participle describes the ark in the clause the APB renders "the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold." In Luke 22:64 and Mark 14:65, active forms occur where people cover him before questioning or striking him; the APB renders "covering him" and "to cover his face."
