   In Acts 2:9, the accusative singular form occurs in a list of residents alongside other places; the APB renders the list with “residents of Mesopotamia.” In Acts 7:2, the dative singular form marks the place where Abraham was before settling in Haran; the APB renders “when he was in Mesopotamia before he settled in Haran.”

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the term as “Mesopotamia” in both verses, once with residents and once as the place where Abraham was. The verse is read as a whole, but both clauses present a geographical location.
