megalosune denotes the majesty named in heavenly enthronement language and assigned to God in praise.

The attested use names majesty in clauses about sitting at its right side or at the right hand of its throne in Hebrews 1:3 and Hebrews 8:1, and in Jude 1:25 it is included among what belongs to God.

   The genitive singular forms occur in enthronement clauses: in Hebrews 1:3 the APB renders “sat down at the right of the Majesty on high,” and in Hebrews 8:1 it renders “at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens.” The nominative singular in Jude 1:25 stands in the list of glory, majesty, power, and authority said to belong to God.
