Kosmikos describes what belongs to the earthly sphere, whether a sanctuary or desires to be renounced.

The two attestations apply the term to matters within the earthly sphere: a sanctuary in Hebrews 9:1 and desires set alongside ungodliness in Titus 2:12. The different nouns prevent a more specific shared nuance from being established.

   In Hebrews 9:1, the accusative singular neuter form modifies the sanctuary named with the first covenant; the APB renders the clause “an earthly sanctuary.” In Titus 2:12, the accusative plural feminine form occurs with desires that are to be renounced; the APB renders “worldly desires.”
